A Trip To Grammie's and More Long Nights !!! Yuck!!

 Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week, now as for mine well it was a pretty short and not so sweet  (With the exception of the weekend of course) That's because I have been in a lot of tooth pain and both mommy and daddy have been sick, and for the most part so was I :( Yep I have had a runny nose and breathing issues daily for most of this past week. And like I said earlier, both the parents were sick so they were trying to get extra rest as well. Let's just say that didn't work out for any of us :( You see if I can't breathe through my nose I cant eat off my bottle and fall asleep, and if I cant do that I FREAK OUT!! I need my warm milk/formula at night and I can get pretty mad when my tummy tells me I need some food! So every night I have been up seconds after I get put to bed. The first half of the week was really bad we all had some really long nights. It was nearly impossible for me to get to  sleep in the first place with not actually falling asleep till close to 10pm and then I would be up again 30 min after that! Then once I would finally get to sleep say close to midnight I would be up again around 3-4am then again around 5-6am... YIKES! Like I said a rough week for everyone involved! But we all made it though and both mommy and daddy are feeling better and I am still here to tell you the tale!! But hey this is nothing compared to all the other rough nights we have all had together :)

Now besides my crazy night times, I have had some good day times :) I am still all smiles all the time, and ESPECIALLY if you smile back at me! Heck I could be in the worst mood and crying and mad and STILL smile back at you if you smile at me first :) Yes I can be the worlds happiest baby at times and the worlds grumpiest! (Only at night though!!) This week I spent LOTS of time on my tummy doing my baby push ups and trying to figure out this crawling thing. Now on Wednesday I was able to "accidentally" crawl about 3 feet, the reason I say accidentally is of course I didn't know what i was doing until I was moving!! I moved my rear legs up till I was on up my knees and then tried walking my knees forward! I did this for about 3 steps until my hands held me back. (Which were still planted firmly into ground!) You see I didn't move my hands at all and eventually I ran out of room so I fell flat on my cheek :( Oh well it was a nice try but it sure does take A LOT of planning when you are trying to teach yourself how to crawl! Just gotta remember legs and hands have to move at the SAME time or I will run into my own arms and have another face plant moment!! And this face is WAY too pretty to keep doing that!!

 
Other than all of that it was pretty much the same ole story for me, eat, sleep, play, cry, sleep, cry, eat, and sleep some more! I cant wait till I can crawl and start checking out this big ole' house of mine! There are lots places I haven't been yet and I can't wait to sneak off when no one is looking and check them out! My hand eye coordination is getting WAY better too! Now mommy and daddy both have to watch what is near me because I LOVE to touch, grab and taste phones, remotes, pop can's, basically anything and everything you can imagine besides my own diaper!! (I KNOW what I put in my diaper and don't NO ONE want to touch or taste that just ask my daddy!!) Now tomorrow I have my last synagis shot.... ugh Like I need any more new things to cry and get grumpy about! But at least it is the last one and I will get a chance to see how tall I am now and how much I am weighing these days! My guess is 27 1/2 inches long and 18.5 pounds :) Yes I am a VERY huge preemie now!! :) So wish me luck guys cant wait for these shots to be done for good!!

And now for my FUN weekend! Every other week my brother's and sister all have to leave me to go visit with their other parents and when that happens it is just Mommy, Daddy and I for the WHOLE weekend. Which normally is SUPER fun but they needed some rest from being sick. I figured after the week I put them through that they deserved a long nights sleep so I decided to head on over to Grandma Rolene's for the night!! Now this is the farthest I have EVER been away from home so it was kind of nerve racking at first but that all changed the second I came through the door and saw my Grammie Rolene and Grandpa Gary!! We all visited and played until it was well past my bed time, but by that time I was good and tired so I had no trouble sleeping that night! But when I did get up grandpa Gary got up with me and got me back to sleep really quick with his lovings :) The next day we all played some more and Grammie tried reading me a book, but I thought the book would be more interesting in my mouth so I tried to eat it and yeah that meant story time was over:( Oh well I guess you're not supposed to put EVERYTHING in your mouth I'll try to remember that next time :) Oh and while we were playing their crazy doggie Scooter kept trying to interrupt! Sheshh jealous doggies are always trying to steal all my lovings!! Oh well I still had a great time! Thank you so much Grammie and Pappi for having me over I loved every minute of it and I can't wait to do it all again!! Later Mommy and daddy came and got me and then it was off to Grandpa Andy and Grandma Debbies house!! We only stayed for a little bit but it was more than enough time to play with them both and get lots of loves :) These last 2 weekends have been great, last week was spending time with daddies family and this week was mommies family :) I just love being around all my family members, maybe that's the source of all my smiles!! As for the rest of the weekend it was back home as usual and just lot of laying around and playing :)

St. Patties Day With Grandma Berta's Family!!

 Hello there world! Yes another week has passed in my short little life and I am here to tell you the tale of it!! But first things first! Did you all have a great week as well?? I sure hope so cause mine was super fun!! Now I have sure met A LOT of my family members in my short time here on this planet but they all seem to have been on my mom's side, never too many on my dad's side but Saturday that all changed... I FINALLY got to meet some of them!! And better yet it was during a St. Patties Day party!! I will tell you the entire story here a bit later :) For now let me tell you about all the days before that! Well let’s start with my teeth and sigh, yes I STILL only have two teeth :( So my streak of getting a tooth a week ends at 2, oh well maybe this week I will see some more!! My mouth sure is hurting so I know something is about ready to pop soon! And obviously the pain in my mouth has led to LOTS of whininess on my part which includes lots of crying and throwing fits when it gets REALLY bad! At first I thought I may have been sick because of my constant runny nose, but no I think its teething as usual :( Even though I do think I may have some kinds of pet and dust allergies because my nose NEVER stops getting plugged up!! And of course the teething nightmare has also led to being up at all times of the night and waking up quite easily, AND it being hard to get me to sleep in general, ugh the only thing I can say is only 18 more teeth to go! 

Now on that subject of sleeping I think my days of being in my Halo blankie (AKA STRAIGHT JACKET!) are numbered. You see preemies LOVE to be swaddled more so than normal babies, so I have been swaddled in the halo every night since basically I got of my box. BUT my super preemie strength has caused these halos to only last for a good 15 min before I masterfully get out of them. I just LOVE to wave my hands around now and grab things and even when its bed time I see something that I just HAVE to grab or touch and ya that leads to me thinking its play time instead of bed time and I stay up longer than I should :( And it also leads to me to knocking the bottle out of my mouth as well. Now I do know how to pick up my bottle now and bring it to my mouth but I never get the angle quite right and my hands are constantly moving so it does not work out very well in the end. My mommy tried to get me to go to sleep without it and that lasted a whole 10 min before daddy found me laying on my tummy with my arm wrapped under the mattress and me stuck in-between the mattress and the crib bars, he thought it was quite funny but let me tell ya being stuck really is not fun!! I SCREAMED until daddy came and saved me, then next you know it was back to the halo again. Just like my swing (god rest it’s soul) I am going to have to get used to life without the halo and learning to calm my crazy hands down while I am trying to sleep :) 

My crawling skills have yet to improve as well. I just love to roll around so much that I never take time to see if my knees can actually move once I am up with arms extended. Just this past week I learned that I can sit on my knees when I get upon my arms so I think it’s just only a matter of time before I learn I can actually move my knees to start crawling! So my guess is I will be crawling in the next month, I’ll keep you all posted of course :) My new favorite toy of the week is this ball that moves on its own and talks to me! (thank you Grandma Moisio)It’s super fun to smack it and hear it sing and talk and glow. It also helps me move around when I am on my tummy because I am constantly trying to chase that crazy thing down! I hit a button then boom! It moves and I have to roll around to try to catch it! And when someone forgets to turn it on I get mad! Just the other day I was put on the ground and I smacked a button and NOTHING!! I cried and cried until daddy showed up and noticed his horrible error of not turning on the power switch. But once he turned it on life was livable once again :) 

Now just like the last couple weeks it was very slow and just lots of time with Mommy, Daddy and my brothers and sister. That was until Saturday! Now I don’t know too much about St. Patties day other than everyone wears green or they get pinched!!! So in order to avoid that unpleasant though my Grandma Berta got me a lovely green outfit! Now before I begin my parents had lost their minds and FORGOT the camera so the pictures for this day are very limited and I apologize :( Anyways Grandma came over and So did Uncle Joey and then we were off to my Auntie Laurie’s house! Now she is my grandma Berta’s Cousin Laurie so just so I don’t confuse anyone I will just call her Auntie. She is also my daddies God Mother too! Very cool :) Anyway after a VERY long drive we arrived and I was introduced to all of my Grandma Berta’s family I have never met! I got to meet Auntie Laurie, Auntie Yvonne, and Uncle Glen All people whom were very close to my grandma and my daddy too! I also got to meet their kids as well, and their kids’ kids too! There was probably close to 50 people there!! Also my Auntie Pattie was there too (whom is my daddies aunt AKA my Grandma’s sister! Got it?) We spent a long amount of time visiting with everyone before it was dinner time, and then I was the star of the show! Everyone at the table noticed how smiley I was and they were amazed how someone whom has been through so much in life could be so happy all the time! But HEY that’s WHY I am so happy! Happy to be home! Happy to be around you all for the first time!! Happy to return the smiles that are given to me :) I was even surprised to hear that over half of them had already heard of me and even followed me on this very blog at one point in time!! That of course makes me feel extra special :) At dinner daddy tried to give me some mashed potatoes so I would not feel left out but I was not having it! Ya that was my first experience with potatoes and so far I am not a fan! After dinner everyone got around the TV and watched some home video’s of the family from the 60’s and 70’s. I even got to see Grandma Berta as a little girl too! It was crazy!! After that it was game time where we all got to vote on the best Irish saying and whom wore the most green, of course I lost both contests because I fell asleep :( Oh well I will get them next time!! All in all I had a wonderful time meeting the people whom were part of Grandma’s early life and my daddy’s life as a child. I sure did love all the lovings I got from all of you and all the positive thoughts and prayers :) I surely can’t wait to do it all again soon too :) Again thank you all and I better see you all gain soon!!  Here is a big group photo of all the kids together :)

Well that was it for my week, as always I learned new things, got better at other things, and got to hang out with family new and old :) These are the things that make life great for me, and the things that I hope all of you get to share in your own lives too! Another TOOTH!! And I am ALMOST Ready To Crawl!

Hello everyone! Well I had a MUCH better week (compared to last week) with lots of learning, eating & resting!! I hope all of you had a great week as well! I spent most of the week in much better moods, mostly because all my pain from the prior week had paid off with the presence of ANOTHER bottom tooth! AMAZING how they just show up one day and I don't notice it until it starts cutting up my hands when I chew on them! Now this new tooth popped up right next to my first tooth and it looks mighty cute when I smile :) Ill show you guys a picture of it here later :) For the most part I just hung out at home all week with my family and that was all good if you ask me :)

Now lately I have been really practicing with my tummy time. Mostly because I can now roll all over the place, and sometimes I get stuck on my tummy. BUT I found out if I put my hands on the ground and push up I can almost sit on my knees! AND that means I am only a couple movements away from crawling. Lately mama will lay me on the floor and come back later to find out I have moved myself half way across the room! I just roll all over the house now and its mighty fun to keep rolling and see where I end up!! I also seem to do it in my sleep as well! When I wake up to get my bottle in the middle of the night, mommy and daddy notice I have moved all over the place! Sometimes I am upside down or completely on the opposite end of the crib! Just last night daddy found me with my head propped up on the side of the crib and almost sitting up halfway on my own! Now I don't really remember how I got there but it was really cool none the less!

And LOOK there it is! Mommy got a much better picture this time and now you can see both of my new teeth!! You see how much that first tooth grew in only a week! Crazy I should have a mouth full of little chompers in no time! And you know what that means, I will be more than ready for my first taste of cake come birthday time! So hurry UP TEETH!! This past week I also have learned that I can grab my bottle and bring it up to my mouth! Just today I grabbed it out of the cup holder while mommy was holding me with one hand and was able to bring it up all the way to my mouth! Now from there I still haven't quite figured out that I need to hold it at an angle so the milk comes down, but I bet i figure that one out in no time!! I grab everything now! When I am sitting on daddies lap at dinner time I grab his food, and his bowl or cup and try to get it in my mouth before he notices, but I always fail and he catches me :( Oh well I guess I need to learn to be more sneaky :)

 Now I did say that this past week was very quiet and non eventful, but I did forget I had some fun times this weekend! First on Saturday I went with Dad and mom to get some birthday presents for my God Dad Chad and for Brianna. Now she is my mommies and daddies good friends Steve and Loni's daughter! She just turned 6 too!! Now after that I got to go with them for some house shopping! Now that was quite the experience let me tell ya, lots of weird and stinky houses we got to see that did not look like good places to live at all but Grandpa Andy was there and that made it a whole lot better! Thank you Grandpa for coming along to keep me company!! Plus the lady showing all the houses was obsessed with just staring at my pretty litte face and trying to make me smile, which lately is not all that hard! She was a really fun lady and I'm glad she paid so much attention to me more so than the houses she was showing!! Once all of that was over Auntie Sarah and Uncle Seth came over to watch me for the night while mommy and daddy went to Chad's birthday party! I was sad I could not go but it was awfully late and I went to bed shortly after anyways so I guess it was ok I got left behind :( Oh well hope you had a great birthday party Chad!! I love you! Next time I better get invited too!! :)

Now on Sunday I got to go to Brianna's party! It was at a restaurant where I got to meet a bunch of new people! Everyone got to see my beautiful new teeth and my millions of smiles :) I even got to be held by Loni for a while and that made me feel mighty special :) It was really fun meeting all those new people and being part of yet again another birthday party! Thanks for inviting me to be a part of the celebration I had a  great time!! At the restaurant daddy tried to feed me some beans and salsa before mommy stopped him, but then mommy and Loni proceeded to let me try a lemon and let me tell ya that was REALLY WEIRD!! Everyone laughed at the funny face's I made and ya I don't think I liked that one bit! But besides those weird foods I am still eating all kinds of good baby food daily and I still love it! :) But yeah that was about it for the week, pretty short I know but hey my life cant always be so exciting :) And yes it's time for me to wrap this up for the night so I can get to bed and not keep everyone up all night, but before I go I must remind you all that my March for Babies starts in just 53 days so please be sure to click on my pretty face below to see how my team is doing towards achieving their goal. Back From The Dr's & What A Rough Week!!!

 Well what a rough week! Between going to the Dr's, getting shots, and incredible tooth pain I am spent! I hope your guy's week was better than mine! And with this super rough week, it was also a rough one for mom, dad, grandma and auntie Sarah! You see they were the ones trying to cheer me up all week! Or staying up with me all week, OR trying to get me to stay asleep or nap ALLLLL WEEK!! But I will get into all of that later. First let me tell you about my Dr. appointment! First it was just my normal typical day of laying around playing with my toys and drooling all over myself, and then all of the sudden daddy came home early.... That usually means something bad, something that's gonna cause me pain... and come to find out its time for me to go to the Dr! Ugh! So of course he gets me all ready to go and then it's off we go! Just like always I spent most of my time on a cot waiting for the nurses and dr's to come see me. As you can see above I am just laying there gnawing on my hand to help soothe my mouth. Then the nurses come in and and get me all naked and cold then they weigh me. And guess what! Just like always I gained A LOT of weight and now I am at 17 pounds 14 ounces! Holy cow, I am becoming a cow!! They didn't measure my length or my head this time so that's all the vitals I have for you all. Then it was waiting time yet again! And of course I through a fit out of boredom, and then FINALLY the Dr came in the give me my 2 dreaded shots :( Yep that's right 2 of them right in my upper thighs :( Ya and they hurt worse this time than ever before! I was pretty much inconsolable afterwards! It took daddy a good 5 minutes to calm me down :( Lucky I found out I might only have to go through this ordeal 1 more time next month :) That's good news cause I don't know how much more of this I can take! It's getting old really fast!! After that we always have to wait exactly 20 minutes to makes sure I don't have a reaction to the shots, then its finally time to go! The nurse though was very impressed with how active I am, and noticed my brand new tooth too! I fell asleep shortly afterwards and that pretty much was the start of my dreaded rough week!

 That night was pretty rough for me, I woke up a bunch cause of my tooth, its killing me! Oye for months now I have wanted teeth to just be like everyone else, and be able to get some good food in me, but now I HATE IT!! It hurt's sooooo much! I hear babies get 20 teeth, and all I have to say about that is YIKES! I don't know how I can deal with this 19 more times! And my one single tooth is very sharp too! Sometimes I bite my hands too hard and then that makes me cry too! Man oh man this is horrible! I just hope maybe that 5 or 6 are all coming in at the same time so it can cut the time I have to be in pain in half because this is nuts! I have been chewing on everything! Toys, hands, feet, clothes, blankets, mommy, daddy, the cat's, ok maybe not the last one but pretty much everything I said before that! And the drooling is out of control too! Ask my grandma how many times she has to change my shirts in a day! It's insane! So yes PLEASE let this end, because not even Orajel is making this any easier on me, or anyone else around me!

 Now there was not only bad things this week. I got to go to my brothers boy scouts events TWICE this week! It was awesome! The first time he had a dinner for the anniversary of his troop. He even got a badge for it being his birthday! It was really cool, and as always I enjoyed all the gawking eyes at me all throughout the night just staring at my beautiful smiles and giggles :) But I could not stay still in my stroller so mommy and daddy had to take turns holding me. We were all out pretty late that night and that left us all soooo tired. By the time I got home I fell right asleep and in fact that was the best night I had all week! I think I only woke up once that night, and trust me I think mommy and daddy enjoyed that more than I did!

 Yep that is the trouble maker right there!! ^^^^ You see, that bad boy is what's been keeping me up all night long! It took mommy and daddy 4 fingers and 65 pictures to get this ONE photo of the tooth that has been causing so much trouble! If you can't see it click the picture and it will blow up on you computer screen and then you can see it, it is barely sticking up there to the right, but trust me its ripping through my gums!! Any who later in the week Jayce had his big Pine Car race for boy scouts! We went early and I got to watch all the kids play outside and eat pizza and chips! Of course I envied every moment of that too!! Later once the race started I saw Jayce win 3 of this 8 races!! It was VERY exciting!! He ended up finishing 3rd overall in his group and then got to go to the finals! Once in the finals though he was not able to beat a couple peoples fast cars and ended up finishing 9th out 12 :( Oh well he still did great! I lost LOTS of daddy time in the last 2 weeks while daddy and Jayce were working on his car, and all their hard work payed off in the end :) Congrats Jayce you did great and it sure was fun being apart of it too!! :)

And that was pretty much it for my week :) Oh but I did get to see my god parents on the weekend, and that was much needed and mighty fun too! Thank you for the visit guys! Livi loves you!! :) And yep its time for me to go now :( Yep I got another night of me waking up the whole neighborhood cause of my painful mouth of tooth, yep not teeth just tooth! How can one little thing cause so much pain!! Oh well I have been through a lot before so whats one more thing right!! :) And as always I will fight through it and tell you all about it next week! SO PLEASE pray for a quiet calm and restful week for me and my caregivers too! OH and DON'T forget about my March for Babies! Team Olivia is gonna get to marching in 60 days!!
