Big Brother's Birthday! & More Fun!!

Well what a week it's been! As usual it starts out always very slow and quiet then POOF we have a huge party with like 30 people over for my brother's birthday party!!  But before we get into all of that, how was everyone's week??? I hope it was as wonderful as mine! My days have been getting much more exciting lately that’s because of all the new things I am getting to get my body to do! Like for example I can now pretty much hold my balance for a good amount of time when I am sitting up! I still get a little erratic at times and get excited and fall over, but for the most part if I am focused on something such as a toy, I can stay up for a long time!! I get to practice all the time now too! With no swing or cradle to lay me in I pretty much am forced to sit up from now on! I still love sitting in the big chair mommy and daddy sit in. It’s very comfy and lets me just sit back, relax, and play with my toys :) I am also passing toys from hand to hand now on a regular basis so take that nurses! I told you I could do it :) Oh and ya I still aint the biggest fan of laying on my tummy :( I just don't have enough upper body strength to handle it at the moment, but I am working on it daily so maybe soon I will make my attempts at crawling :)

I got to eat LOTS of good food this week too! It included Bananas, Apple sauce, carrots, Oatmeal and pears, and they were all very yummy with banana's still the clear favorite! Even though I am really starting to like rice now a lot too! I also now hate a certain food. Yep can’t stand it! Worse thing EVER!! Should never EVER be forced to eat it again too!! EVER MOM YOU HEAR~!!!!! Yep that food is nasty ole peas!! YUCK! Now I know why daddy hates them so much GROSS!! So mom, FYI, throw them out!! :) I am still taking rice in my bottle at night too and I had another week in a row of only waking up once :) See you guys! Food was the answer and now I am finally getting all the sleep I need at night :) Now I am sleeping in my crib full time now, but I think I have had the hardest times getting comfortable! Every night when mommy and daddy go to bed they find me upside down or sideways or 2 feet away from where they originally put me!! Sometimes I even accidentally roll completely over and get stuck like a tipped cow!! It is not very funny for me at all, quite traumatic actually! I scream and scream when this happens until someone comes and rescues me! You see I still have to sleep with a halo so I have no way of using my hands to save myself!! So ya I pretty much bounce around my whole crib at night while I am asleep! Weird huh, I don’t think I will ever be able to stay still!! :)

The week went by very quickly and then all of the sudden it was my brother’s big birthday party! Now this was a big one because he turned 10!! And you could tell how big it was by all the people that came over to see me! Ooops I mean Jayce :)  My Grandpa Andy came over, Jade and D and Jordyn, Loni and Steve and their kids Justin and Brianna, My auntie Sarah and Uncle Seth, My Uncle Joey and Grandma Berta, My Auntie Krista and her kids Brookie and Jesten and Grandma Julie! My Uncle Terry and Auntie Vicki and both my cousins Matti and Sammi! Then we had Preston, Alexis, Mom and dad of course, and then Jayce’s friends Jordan, and Tyler! You can see it was pretty much a full house!! I got to watch him open up all his awesome presents too! I can’t wait to have my own birthday party! Heck he has had 10 now and I am still waiting on my first!! Then of course I got to see the best part and that was the cake! Looked mighty yummy and can you guess how much I got to eat!!??!! Yeah that’s right, none :( Mommy doesn’t like me too much I think :( Just kidding mom, I am still too young for all that sugar, but SOON like 3 months from now soon when I TURN 1!! Anyways a bunch of his friends all stayed the night and so did Brookie so it was a very fun kid’s night at the Vannoy Household! And of course I got my loves from everyone there, the best part of my day! Everyone got to hold me and cuddle it sure was awesome! Happy birthday Big brother I hope you had the best birthday yet! And don’t forget to throw me one just as big when I turn 10!!

Now the next day we all took a trip to Grammies house! Oh yeah that’s Grandma Rolene in case you didn’t know! Again it was for a birthday party too! It was Jayce’s birthday party, my cousin Matti’s birthday party AND my Grandpa Gary’s Birthday party!! Grammie couldn’t make it to Jayce’s birthday party Saturday so she decided to throw one for him and everyone else at the same time!! They all had the coolest cake too! See Look!

They all got to keep a car too! Must be lucky for all those guys to get cake two days in a row when I can’t even get any once!!! Ugh and to top it all off they all got BBQ while I got introduced to peas!!! And if you read earlier you can guess how well that one went! Oh well at least I got to spend lots of quality time with Grammie!! I got to show her all my new tricks and how I can kick my legs really hard in the ground to make noises and my crazy noises I make all the time AKA Singing! I could tell she was very impressed and I was very happy to spend all that time with you :) Thank you Grammie for all the lovings!! And happy birthday to you Grandpa Gary!! I love you!!! And Matti, I will be at your birthday party next week too! So YAY another party I get to go to and that means another party that I will be denied cake :( Ugh oh well one day I will get mine :) Thank you all for such a wonderful weekend!! I just love being around all my loved family and friends! Heck even when I am not the star of the show I still love it!! :)

A Visit From My Cousin & New Noises I Can Make!!

Hello Everyone!  How are you today?? I am GREAT! I had a nice very quiet week and after how crazy the month of January was it was sure needed! Today I am 9 months old!! Aka 6 Months old!! Can you believe its only 3 months till my birthday!!! Holy cow time has flown!! But as for this week I spent most of it playing with my toys, aka chewing on my toys! Ya that's pretty much been my idea of playing! I have been getting so munch better at passing my toys from one hand to the other and chewing on EVERYTHING I can get my hands on! Including people's hands! Good thing I don't have teeth yet or I would really hurt people! I have also found my singing voice! Yes you see now I get sooooo excited I start to sing in my own special way! Daddy says I sound like a cat moaning to get some food but I call it communicating my happiness to the world! You should here it it sounds awesome! It's my happy coo! I have also been trying to use my hands A LOT more like with holding my bottle and taking a swing at things and even starting to throw some of my toys! But my hands still can't hold a candle to my crazy legs! Yes I am still kicking everything and everybody in sight! So I will keep practicing with my hands and my balance and hopefully pretty soon I ill be able to sit up unassisted :)

Yep here you can see my idea of playing :) Aka Chewing/Eating my toys. :) Anyway my mama and my Grandma have been feeding me all kinds of food this week! I have had Banana's, Apple Sauce, Carrots, Peas, & Mixed Grain Rice. And Now I REALLY like the banana's! Took me a couple attempts but now I love them! Especially when they are cold! A lot better than room temperature banana's! In fact there really is no food I haven't liked yet! Anything is better than just formula all the time! I also have been getting rice mixed in with my bottles at night and that has kept my cranky butt from waking up 37 times a night! Now it's just once a night making mommy and daddy VERY happy :) I also have finally gotten over the loss of my swing and am now used to my crib :) I especially like the netting around it! I get my hands and fingers out of my halo blankie and rub them against it and it makes the coolest noise! I like to do it in the middle of the night too just to irritate mommy and daddy! But then they get up and wrap me back into my halo, and then I am forced to figure out how to get out of it again :( I am little preemie Houdini at night  I always find a way out :)

Now once the weekend hit it was running around as usual! We went birthday shopping for my brother Jayce whom has his 10th birthday party this week! And might I say I believe I helped pick out a GREAT gift for him too! Also we went over to my Grandpa's house to help him move stuff. Grandma Debbie got to watch me the entire time mommy and daddy were working! We had lots of fun playing with all my toys and me showing off all the new things I can do! Later Grandpa came in and I got to spend a bunch of time with him sitting on his lap and showing off my standing skills ! I also showed him how powerful my leg kicks are when I kicked him right in his tummy a couple times :) Hehehe! Sorry Grandpa! I still love you! The next day my cousin on Jayce's side came over to visit me for the the first time since I came home!! (See Above!) Her name of course is Journee and wow she got big! You see if I would have came out of mommies tummy when I was supposed to Journee and I would have been born on the same week! So we look like we are the same age even though I am still older :) Anywho we both laid down and played with my toys, as you can see above I am trying to hand her one of my toys :) we had a WHOLE lot of fun :) Thank you for coming by to see me :) You better come back soon we can play some more :) And next time bring your own toys!! Hehehe Just kidding :)

And well as you can see above its about that time to say goodbye :( Yep I am pretty tired but I promise I will be back next week as usual to let you all know about my fascinatingly fun and adventures life! OHHHH!!! And to my Older Brother Jayce, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I love you so much!!! You see his birthday is today, the same day I turned 9 months!! How cool is that!! :)   Can't wait till you get my gift at your party this weekend :) And I can't forget my Great Grandpa Jim's birthday was Friday too! Happy 29th birthday (mom says 29 is the oldest you can get... I don't think that's right but I'll just go with it) Next week I will post some pictures from Jayce's party, but until then bye bye everybody!!

I Can Eat FOOD Now!!! Hallelujah!!

Hello everyone!! Hope your week was as GREAT as mine! Why was it so great you ask? Well that's because FINALLY after 8 LONNNNNNG months I am allowed to eat food!! Now I will get into that much more later :) Remember last week when I said I had to go to my Dr's to get my shots? Well ya that happened last Tuesday and what a rough time that was!! First off daddy got home early from work to take me and when we got there we had to wait and wait and waaaaaaaaait!! They then decided it was time to do my 6 month checkup, then realized I am really almost 9 months so decided to do that check up as well. Oye I think they maybe forgot I was a preemie or something because the nurse was mighty confused! 

Anyways they finally just decided to do both of the checkups to be safe. First they weighed me and HOLY WOW I am now 16 1/2 pounds!!! Then they measured me and I was 27 1/2" long!! Holy Moly I sure have grown A LOT since being home!! But my head was only 43 cm, and when compared to the 41 I was at when I was released, my head sure has not grown that much :( Oh well who needs a big head anyways!! After all of that they did some tests to see if I could rollover yet and ya not so much :( Then tested my balance sitting up and yep failed that one too :( Then they tested how well I could stand up and Boo Ya!! I passed that test! You see my legs are WAY stronger than the rest of me and far more advanced, so I will have to make another appointment to see if I need any kind of physical therapy to help me balance and use my hands for more than just chewing on. But I guess this is normal for some preemies :) All the other tests I passed like my hearing and sight tests, and of course my smile test. :) Also no teeth yet they said :( So no steaks for me anytime soon I guess :(

Then the Dr. FINALLY gave daddy the OK to start feeding me some food!!! YAY!!! And I tell ya after the premature departure of my swing last week I sure could use happy news like this!! Then came all the bad stuff. Yep that's right shots... 3 of them... Right in my legs..... One... OUCH! TWO.... CRYING OUCH!!! And THREE SCREAMING OOOOOOOOOOUCH!!!! Oh man these Dr's have no remorse while they stab me either :( I know its supposed to make me healthy but GEEZ this stuff hurts!! Then after THAT ordeal I had to go get blood drawn to test my iron! UGH! I have been poked and prodded so much since birth whats one more hole in my little body! Daddy had to hold me down while the nurse stabbed my tiny little thumb and then the lady had to SQUEEZE it to get the blood out !!!! OUCH AGAIN!! Even worse was that I was told we could not even leave until my finger stopped bleeding!! So daddy got the gauze bandage and squeezed my thumb till it stopped, and at that point in time I had enough and decided to just go to sleep!! Daddy of course did his duties and got my thumb to stop bleeding and then FINALLY we were on our way home :) And to food!! :)

Now there was one rule to my food eating, and that was I could only eat stuff with ONE ingredient  this is so we can tell if I become allergic to any one particular thing. Which is fine by me! Anything is better than formula at this point in time!! Once we got home mommy started me off with some Banana's  and let me tell you I was in such SHOCK over the fact it didn't taste like formula that at first I didn't even like it!! Mom tried a couple more spoon fulls but I was not having it all, probably because I was still pretty cranky from the Dr appointment :( So instead it was off to bed for me because of my really long day. Now my nights have been slightly better than last week. I have gotten used to the fact that my good ole swing is now just a paper weight so I am forced to sleep in my crib. So far so good :) And now with the addition of food in my life mamma can now put rice in my bottle's too to help me out with sleeping, and so far I am only getting up about once or twice a night now :) Yay for me!!

Now during the rest of the week Grandma Berta, Mommy and even sometimes daddy got to feed me different kinds of foods. I have had bananas, pears, apple sauce, carrots, rice and sweet potatoes and so far my FAVORITE by A LOT is Sweet Potatoes  I just LOVE them!! I can almost eat half a jar in one sitting!! This whole food thing is probably the most wonderful thing that has happened to me since Christmas!! :) Thank you Dr's for finally giving in to my food demands :) Over the next few weeks I will let you all know what foods I like and don't like, what a fun time its gonna be trying all these new things :)

As for the rest of the week it was business as usual, that was until Sunday .. It was the SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!! Yay!! My first one ever! Even though I really didn't care for the teams playing it was sure exciting to see all the action! My god parents came over too and spent the day with us all watching the big game :) Now the only bad part was EVERYONE else got to have BBQ and I was stuck with baby food :( Oh well certainly A LOT better than the way it was before :) Maybe at my next Superbowl I can get to eat the food too!! 
And now I am afraid its that time YET AGAIN to say goodbye :( The week sure started off pretty rough for me, but as always it ended up good with more new and exciting things and great company :) I can't wait to see what new adventures I get into this week :) I love you all and don't forget to check out my March for Babies link below!
